Just a few more days until the start of school. My son Mitch says to me he is having a good summer and he does not want school to start back to school.
I don't remember ever hating school. I always looked forward to seeing old friends and meeting new teachers. My son is out of place at his school. He has been diagnosed as ADS (Autism Spectrum Disorder), by nine professional educators and he is getting extra assistance in the special education class.
Soon I will be getting him a pediatric diagnosis, that may prove he has Asperger Syndrome.
He has made progress , but is reading below his reading level, and has no interest in socializing or participating in sports , dancing or any social activities. His only interest is Art. He says he likes pizza parties too. He does not look forward to being in the 5th grade, he says the Physical Education will be outside and he will have less art and parties.
Back to school will give me more time to grow my business. I am looking forward to school starting on Tuesday of next week.
On the day of school returning I will be driving a couple (married for 71 years),
to an Indian gambling casino at Pala Spa and resort. Hugh and Jewell, age 91 and 90 have been gambling at various casinos for the past 12 years. I have been their driver for over a year now. I always look to our one and a half hour drive each way to and from Pala. (more about driving to Pala later)
Here's to a great summer , we are going to survive the heat wave of 2017!
