Gale our new Hank
We now have a gentleman of leisure occupying our couch. We call him the new Hank. My friend Lefty aka as Hank, had stayed with us for nearly a year he was the best housemate you could ever ask for. He was a writer and kept occupied with writing and watching his favorite shows on Netflix like 30 Rock. Lefty actually wrote a romance novel and worked on many lucrative projects and he was eventually able to lease a small studio in nearby La Habra Heights.
Now staying on our recliner, Mitch and I have a 21 year old college student that works at Jamba Juice, volunteers with Food Not Bombs, and others.
We call him Gale because my son watches "King of the Hill" reruns daily. I watch with it too, when I can. In an episode called "High Anxiety" Hank Hill accidentally smokes pot with Gale, roommate of Debbie, Mr. Strickland's paramour. After his wife kicks him out, Mr. Strickland , Hanks boss (owner of Strickland Propane ), moves in with Debbie and her stoner roommate Gale.
This show is from the 1990's and is about a North East Texas family from a town called Arlen, Hank is the dad that is the father of a 12 year old son that does not always do as Hank would like. His wife is Peggy and they have a niece that lives with them.
Here in Southern California rent is highest in the nation behind San Francisco and New York City. We have a paid border once again. We are glad to help out Gale and he is a young man with hope and motivation , but he does smoke multiple times daily and I believe this can be an ambition killer. quote from "Jackie Brown" Ordell Robbie: You know you smoke too much of that shit, that shit gonna rob you of your own ambition. Melanie: Not if your ambition is to get high and watch TV...
"Gale" does rarely watch TV , but he is on his laptop at nearly every waking moment.
Maybe he will write a great novel too!
